Indication

Symptomatic relief of allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny/stuffy nose, itchy/watery eyes) and chronic urticaria (itchy skin rash and hives).

Dosage

As directed by physician; usually one tablet once daily on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after food/fruit juice).

Side Effects & Precautions

Headache, abdominal pain, mild drowsiness, tiredness, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness, and rarely allergic reaction or swelling.
Precautions: Avoid in children below 12 years unless advised, pregnancy, breastfeeding, severe kidney/liver disease, or known allergy to bilastine; do not take with fruit juice; avoid alcohol and activities requiring mental alertness if drowsy.
